Authorization For Rice Pond Village Application

On the Millbury Board of Selectmen’s agenda for Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 6:00 PM, is an agenda items for the Board to authorize Mary Krumsiek, Chairperson of the Millbury Board of Selectmen (and chief executive), to execute an application for the proposed Chapter 40B Local Initiative Program (LIP) project. In order for Steven F. Venincasa and James Venincasa (the “developers”), under the limited liability corporation named Rice Pond Village, LLC to proceed, the town’s chief executive must execute the LIP application and write a letter of project support for the developers to submit their application to the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). Without the chief executive’s execution of the LIP application and letter of project support, the developers cannot submit an application to DHCD.

The agenda item, Authorize the Chair to sign a Local Initiative Program Application for a Comprehensive Permit - Rice Pond Village, is listed under New Business which typically means it is a discussion amongst the Board with no public input. However, individuals can speak at the beginning of the meeting under Citizens Speak at the beginning of the meeting.

Although it is preferable to attend the meeting in person at the Millbury Town Hall located at 127 Elm Street in Millbury, Massachusetts, if you are unable to, you can attend remotely via Zoom with the Meeting ID 811 1200 8668.
