Good Turnout For Signatures
We wanted to express a heartfelt thank you to all who came out yesterday to sign the citizens petition to call a special town meeting. The response was overwhelmingly positive and nearly every single person signed the petition. What was clear is that residents want positive change in Millbury to regulate the development of the town so while it grows it retains its small town character. Many have not been pleased with recent residential development projects for one reason or another.
Signatures To Call A Special Town Meeting
Enact a temporary (15± months) building moratorium on multi-family dwelling units (3 or more) in Millbury to establish thoughtful criteria for consideration and approval of multi-family dwelling units within neighborhood contexts and within downtown Millbury. In order for the Town to undertake comprehensive planning to formulate and adopt such criteria under zoning, the Town intends to adopt a temporary moratorium on the consideration and approval of multi-family proposals under the Zoning Bylaws.
UN1F1ED2 And Millbury
Last night, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, two neighbors attended the UN1F1ED2 Parkway Project neighborhood meeting where Sutton residents and surrounding towns were invited to come and hear about the project, ask questions, and express concerns. It was hosted by the management and project team of UN1F1ED2 Global Packaging Group.
UN1F1ED2 Neighborhood Meeting
UN1F1ED2 Global Packaging Group will be hosting a neighborhood meeting for residents to discuss the ongoing site work and blasting at the UN1F1ED2 Parkway Project. The meeting will be held on May 25, 2022 at 6PM, at 223 Worcester-Providence Turnpike (Route 146 northbound, north of Central Turnpike) in Sutton, Massachusetts. We hope this will be an informative event where UN1F1ED2 Global Packaging Group can hear from its neighbors and answer questions about its site activities. — Arthur Mahassel, CEO/President
UN1F1ED2 Project Concerns
As some of us have felt the blasting for the UN1F1ED2 Global Packing Group project on Providence Street (Route 122A) in Sutton. They are preparing the site for a massive facility with three proposed buildings, Buildings 2 and 3 are presented for construction in the current phase, with Building 1 following in a future phase. The UN1F1ED2 Global Packing Group property is in Sutton with a smaller portion in Millbury. Buildings 2 and 3 are entirely in Sutton.
Fact Checking Article 26 Falsehoods
Bruce M. DeVault and Paul A. Piktelis, both are Millbury Planning Board members who apparently refused to listen to the explanation provided by Paul Stringham, Millbury’s Code Enforcement Officer and Building Inspector, when he spoke about the merits and implications of Article 26 - Rezoning To Suburban II A Portion Of Residential I North Of Rice Road.
