We, the neighborhood and the Millbury Planning Board, won the first battle with the denial of the special permit of the initial 46-unit condominium proposed Rice Pond Village project on February 14, 2022. We will need everyone’s continued assistance to mitigate any detrimental impacts on our neighborhood, surrounding neighborhoods, and the town of Millbury from inappropriate and irresponsible multi-family developments.

Steven F. Venincasa and James Venicasa have already proposed a Chapter 40B LIP project for 17 Rice Road with 192-apartments, with 48 being “affordable,” in three (3) four-story buildings to the Millbury Board of Selectmen.

Kindly complete this neighborhood1 subscription form to receive updates about the proposed Rice Pond Village project and related matters. You will receive an email message each time a new blog post is published or important reminders of upcoming meetings or actions we’d appreciate you taking on behalf of our neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods, because any detrimental impacts will be felt beyond our neighborhood.

Thank you in advance for your interest in our neighborhood and for working together to keep our neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods tranquil and peaceful places to come home to. Together we can make a difference.
